About the event

This is our 3rd Annual Trail Ride and Family Faith Weekend and is the centerpiece of WCH!  

You can EXPECT an equine event that is Christ and family centered. 

This event is FREE and made possible thanks to many donations and a large team of committed volunteers.

Please Note:  This is an alcohol and drug free event!

What can you EXPECT?

~EXPECT a lot of fun for all ages, riders, and non-riders!  

~EXPECT to be fed- breakfasts and dinners provided- lunches on your own!

~EXPECT to be fed spiritually- short talks and speakers throughout the weekend!   

~EXPECT to be entertained- LIVE music!

~EXPECT to worship- local pastors to deliver the message!  

~EXPECT beautiful trails to ride your horse on- guided trail rides- MUST bring your own horse!  

~EXPECT to connect with others- Christian fellowship all weekend long!

Camping:

  • You are responsible for your own lodging. Rough style field camping is available so you can bring your own trailer, camper, or tent.  There are no electrical or water hook ups for campers, but there is water available for your horses.
  • We highly discourage personal and you are asked to enjoy community campfire for all throughout the weekend.
  • ​Reminder that this is a drug and alcohol free event.

Dogs:

  • Dogs must stay on a leash at all times and will NOT be allowed to join along on trail rides, or other group events.
  • lease clean up after your dogs.

Horses:

  • To participate in the actual trail rides you must bring your own horse. We do not have horses for guests to lease, rent, or use.
  • There are a limited number of first come, first serve horse highline ties, so consider bringing your own overnight horse set up.
  • You will be responsible for feeding and watering your horses.
  • You will be responsible to clean up after your horse so please bring a pitch fork and a way to store horse manure.
  • Please understand that this is a group riding event so only bring well trained and conditioned horses.
  • A copy of an updated negative coggins for all horses must be handed in upon your arrival.

Food:

  • We will provide morning breakfast and evening dinner throughout the weekend – FREE!  You will need to provide your own lunches. Saturday’s lunch will be enjoyed on the trail, so plan accordingly.
  • Friday: BYO lunch, evening dinner provided by WCH
  • Saturday: morning breakfast provided by WCH, BYO lunch on the trail, evening dinner provided by WCH
  • Sunday: morning breakfast provided by WCH, BYO lunch
  • Bottled water will be available all weekend.
  • Feel free to bring any other snacks or non-alcoholic beverages.

Trail Riding:

  • Trail riding opportunities will be available Friday-Sunday. 
  • Friday and Saturday we will offer guided trail rides (short ride & long ride) 
  • Sunday we will offer open trail riding on your own for anyone who wishes to stay.
